Our God is more than faithful in answering our prayers. The lock-in this year was wonderful, a complete success! About twenty-six youth participated.
As the pictures show the first thing we did was go to the Hell House. The hell house is an alternative to a haunted house. In it they show real life scenes of the effects of sin in the lives of humans, such as (drug overdose in a party, abortion and the remorse there of, shootings at a school, a car accident due to drunk driving) Then they take you to hell so you can see where sin leads. Then they take you to scenes of Christ suffering and being crucified for us. Last but not least his resurrection and the forgiveness and life he offers. It was a blessing and of great impact on our youth.
Then we headed back to church. The lock-in started at 11:30pm and ended at 6:00am. In the lock-in there were games, tons of greasy food, and 4 devotionals during the night : ) The devotionals were composed of group discussion and meditation over topics that we needed, to be able to reinforce the areas of our spiritual lives in which we were weak. At the end of every devotional there were praise and worship hymns. Everyone had a fun time and God touched our hearts profoundly. Everyone set new goals that would help them in their recommitment with Christ. To everyone who was there, let's remember the goals we set for ourselves and pray for one another so we can grow closer to God.
